My dad wanted to download videos and always ended up on sites buried in ads. One day I noticed those sites were just wrapping a Python library, and I figured he deserved better. It was my first project built with agents; it's on version 4 now.

I won't lie: several of my apps exist because a friend wanted them. A Minecraft health bar I wrote from scratch because the mod she wanted didn't work on our server, a cat photo detector, and WhatsApp stickers.

It started as a chat that barely wired up the OpenAI API. Then came Sisyphus, to write deeper essays. Today it's Speculum: it reads everything I've written and gives me a reflection every day. It's what I've spent the most time on and what I use the most.

I wanted to see how far AI had come at reading brand-new docs: everything was written for Java and our server ran Bedrock. The result was an oracle that judges players, demands sacrifices, tells riddles and, if you anger it, summons storms.

For me, instead of paying for an app

When a tool costs money or is full of ads, I build my own. My photos weighed as much as Instagram's limit, so I made a compressor. The gameplay footage I used as background for a school video took too much space, so I wrote another one tuned to my AMD card.

The time I wanted to be a quant: I didn't understand much, but it worked. My thesis project, whose first version I built in two weeks and which saved my semester. A bot I put together for my classmates with leftover AI credits. And, for the same professor as the quant one, a financial engine in Rust that is still under construction.
